The Surrey Rebels Intermediate B team closed out their regular season with a 13-8 loss to the Richmond Roadrunners in a meaningless game Friday night at the Cloverdale Arena.

Richmond had already clinched first place in the South Conference, while the Rebels had already assured themselves of a runnerup finish in the group. Surrey plays host to the Delta Islanders tonight (Tuesday) in a sudden-death playoff game.

Derek Kolins paced the Rebels against Richmond, scoring three times and setting up two other goals. Brad Olson with two goals and an assist and Brodie Serka with one goal and a pair of helpers each had three-point games. Spencer Gilbert and Conor Campbell also tallied, with Denis Vezina collecting two assists.

Surrey finished the season with an 11-7 (won-lost) record.
