Overcoming a five-goal deficit, the Surrey Rebels remained unbeaten in West Coast Junior Lacrosse League play with a 10-9 victory over the Port Moody Thunder Monday night at the Cloverdale Arena.

The Thunder led 5-2 after one period, and had built an 8-3 lead by the midway point of the game. But Rebels netminder Jeff Geyer stopped all 19 shots he faced in the final 20 minutes, allowing Surrey to complete the comeback. The Rebels pulled to within 9-7 after two periods, and scored twice 56 seconds apart midway through the third period to tie the game.

Chris Martin scored his third goal of the game with 2:52 remaining to put Surrey into the lead for the first time, breaking a 9-9 deadlock. Martin also had three assists for a six-point game. Curt Callard collected five points on the night, scoring four goals. Tommy Tran and Tyler Voisy each contributed a goal and three assists, while Braden Wilkins notched his first goal of the season and added two helpers.
