Rebels Teams in the Provincials

Congratulations to the Surrey Rebels Midget C team who swept the Port Coquitlam Saints by a combined score of 16-3 to advance to the provincial championships July 14-18 in Mission.  The team finished the round-robin with a record of 2-2 and dropped a 10-8 decision to North Shore in the Bronze Medal match.  Although the team didn't come home with a medal, two Rebels were honoured:  Kody Pierce was named to the tournament All Star Team, while Grant Belich won a Warrior Fair Play Award.

Kudos also go out the PeeWee C Rebels who came in second in the five-team round-robin playdown and advance to their provincial championships July 21-25 in Delta.  The crew finished the round-robin with a record of 1-3 and dropped a close 9-8 decision to Vancouver in the Bronze Medal match.  Although the team didn't come home with a medal, two Rebels were honoured:  Nick Hamilton was named to the tournament All Star Team, while Taylor Mori won a Warrior Fair Play Award.
