The Surrey Rebels knocked off the Semiahmoo Rock 6-4 to claim the Bronze Medal at the annual Midget B tournament the weekend of June 10th to 12th
at Cloverdale Arena. While starting slow and dropping its first two games (including a nail-biter to eventual Gold Medalists Langley), the Rebels came back
strong, soundly defeating Ridge Meadows to advance to the Medal Round. Missing five regulars due to injury and over aggressive play, the Rebels were
bolstered by three call-ups from Bantam and went on to defeat Semiahmoo for the Bronze. In a solid team effort throughout the tournament, the following Rebels were noted
for their exceptional play and awarded Game MVP's as selected by the opposition teams: Tyler Humphreys (twice), Cody Pierce, Val Ingvaldson, and captain Mike Lemond.
Langley took the Gold Medal with a stunning 6-5 overtime win over the previously unbeaten Coquitlam, who came away with the Silver Medal. Thanks to
the teams and all of the volunteers, especially the tournament chairperson Sandra Prance, for a great event! For more information on the tournament, including

The Surrey Rebels Novice B team hosted the second annual
Midget A Smackdown again this year and it was a huge success. Although the
Novice team had to pull out a few "tricks" they managed to squeak in a win after the Midgets gave up the ball in
the final 32 seconds. Final score: 7-6. Thank you
to Nicki, Miles
and the whole Midget A team for a great game!
