New 2011 Season Registration

An Early Registration Session will be held immediately following the Annual General Meeting of the membership 7:00pm, Sunday, September 12, 2010, Surrey Sports & Leisure Complex - Multipurpose Room #2.  Those in attendance for the entire AGM will be able to register your players for the same price as at the 2009 AGM!

All registrants are to bring the documentation and cheques listed below under "What to Mail-in/Bring to Register".

If you did not make it out to any of our Registration Sessions, you can also register for Minor Lacrosse this coming season by mail.  Print-off the online Registration Form, include the documents and cheques listed below under "What to Mail-in/Bring to Register", and mail the package to:

Note that the post office box station will not accept drop-off packages.  Packages must be mailed using Canada Post to the above address.

* - "At AGM" fees do not apply to mail-in registrations - you must be in attendance
       for the entire AGM to receive the special rates!

What to Mail-in/Bring to Register

All registrants need to bring the following documents with them at in-person registration sessions, or send them in if registering by mail:

  • fully completed Registration Form*

  • a photocopy of player’s birth certificate (SLA needs to keep this on file)

  • a photocopy of player's proof of residency (hydro, gas or other utility bill)

  • player’s Care Card Number

  • two cheques (both made out to Surrey Lacrosse Association):

    • one for registration fees (which may be post-dated to January 31, 2009)

    • one for a uniform deposit in the amount of $100.00 (post-dated to August 1, 2011)

* - not needed for in-person registration session (will be completed by Registrar)


Refund Policy

  • All refund requests must be submitted to the SLA Treasurer via a completed Membership Cancellation Form

  • A $25 processing fee will apply to all refunds

  • Full refund on membership cancellations received by the Registrar prior to March 1

  • 50% refund on membership cancellations received between March 1 and April 15

  • No refund on membership cancellations received after April 15 or the start of league play (whichever comes first)

  • Please allow a 30 day processing time

Children's Fitness Tax Credit

The Government of Canada Children's Fitness Tax Credit came into effect January 1, 2007.  It is a non-refundable tax credit on eligible amounts of up to $500 paid by parents to register a child under the age of 16 in an eligible program of physical activity.  Please use the yellow copy of the registration form which will be given to you once your child is registered as the official tax receipt for the tax credit.  Click here for more information.


The KidSport™ Fund and
Let Kids Play Foundation

The KidSport™ Fund is a program of Sport BC designed to "remove the financial obstacles that prevent underprivileged children from playing sport in British Columbia".  Each child aged 6 - 18 who applies is eligible for up to $200 for one season of sport.  The grant is provided directly to the club or sport organization.  For information on this program, click here.

The objective of Let Kids Play Foundation is to increase the health, enhance the education and develop the skills of low-income and underprivileged youth by providing funds to enable them to participate in organized sporting activities.  Each child aged 17 and under who applies is eligible for up to $200 for one season of sport.  For information on this program, click here.
