Warriors Take Medals at 2020 Provincials!

Congratulations to the U12 Warriors for winning the Gold Medal at the 2020 Women's Provincials, held February 14-17 in Burnaby. The girls upset previously undefeated New Westminster 7-5 to claim the Tier 1 crown. In other Women's action that weekend, kudos to the U15 Team #2 Warriors took home the Tier 2 Silver Medal after a 14-5 setback to a very strong Port Coquitlam squad, while the U15 Team #1 Warriors finished 4th in Tier 2, despite having no spares and a goalie playing with a broken thumb.

In Youth action, congratulations go out to the U15 Warriors who brought home the Tier 2 Bronze Medal after knocking off Burnaby 8-6 at their Youth Provincials, held February 14-17 in Richmond. The U13 Warriors travelled to Nanaimo for their Youth Provincials February 7-8, and while no medalling, had a strong finish to their season.

Special thank yous go out to all coaches and managers for helping create teamwork and mentoring these teams to compete at a provincial level. Many thanks as well to the siblings, parents, families, and athletes for doing whatever it takes to get your kids to practices and games in all types of environments. This work creates community and it shows!


U15 RR RompU15 Warriors Take Silver Medal at 2019 Roadrunner Romp!

Congratulations to the U15 Warriors for winning the Silver Medal at the 10th annual Roadrunner Romp Tournament held November 8-11 in Richmond. Surrey teams competed well and our U15's came up 10 seconds short in the Gold Medal game against Delta, taking home Silver!.

SLA2019 Surrey Lacrosse Awards

Warriors Take Home Medals at 2018 Field Provincials, U11 Invitational!

Congratulations to the Surrey Warriors Womens U15 team for winning the Tier 1 Gold Medal and the Surrey Warriors Womens U12-1 team for winning the Tier 2 Gold Medal at the 2018 BCLA/Subway U15/U12 Women's Field Provincial Championships and U8 Jamboree held February 9-12 in Langley.

Congratulations to the Surrey Warriors Youth U15 team for winning the Tier 2 Gold Medal at the 2018 Subway/BCLA U18/U15/U13 Youth Field Lacrosse Provincial Championships held February 9-12 in Burnaby.

Finally, congratulations go out to the host Surrey Warriors Youth U11 team for winning the Red Division Gold Medal at the 2018 BCLA/Subway U11 Youth Field Lacrosse Invitational Tournament held February 3-4.

Cal Davies Takes Home Volunteer Award from City

The City of Surrey honoured past SLA President Cal Davies at its annual dinner recognizing volunteers December 7th.  Way to go, Cal!

 

 

 

 


Warriors at the Cloverdale Rodeo Parade

Rodeo Parade A big thanks go out to the 23 kids plus parents who showed up at the 2016 Cloverdale Rodeo Parade Saturday May 21st to promote Warriors Field Lacrosse by handing out thousands of information cards and stickers to a great receptive crowd.

Warrior Named to U19 Team Canada!

Congratulations to Tre LeClair for being named to Canada's roster for the upcoming Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) U19 Men's Lacrosse World Championship (see below).  Tre was a member of our U18 squad this past season.  Click here for the press release from the Canadian Lacrosse Association.


U11 Warriors Bring Home Gold Medal at Year-End Tournament!

U11-1 Provincials Gold Congratulations to the U11-1 Warriors for going undefeated and winning the Blue Division Gold Medal in the U11 Year-End Field Provincial Tournament held February 13-14, 2016 at Coquitlam Town Centre Park.  The boys defeated Ridge Meadows U11-1 7-4 in the division final, with Brody Burrell (Goalie) taking home the Tournament MVP.

Warrior Commits to Blue Hens

The Surrey Warriors would like to congratulate Tre Leclaire on his verbal commitment to The University of Delaware.  Tre is a current member of our U16 team and has played many years of field lacrosse with South Fraser and Surrey Field Lacrosse.  Tre follows the tradition to Delaware behind fellow Canadian lacrosse players John Grant Jr., Curtis Dickson and Surrey’s own Jordan Hall.  Click here for Inside Lacrosse article.
